This course will help you master hydraulic design for heat networks, from fluid physics and pipe sizing to complex distributed systems, water hammer, pump selection and full CP1/HNTAS TS1 compliance.
It covers core principles of hydraulic considerations in heat networks, focusing on: definition; physics of fluid flow; how pressure is measured and characterised, and the impact this has on component selection; saturation pressure considerations; basic relationship (diameter, velocity, delta t and capacity); heat loss in a pipe; pressure loss in a pipe; roughness and friction factor.
Upcoming dates:
- 30 June
- 16 July
- 3 December
