The rapid growth and increasing power density of data centres is creating a diverse range of fire protection challenges. Data halls, electrical and battery rooms, standby generation and mechanical plant present different hazards, operational requirements and consequences of fire or unwanted system activation.
Drawing on Viking’s experience in fire protection across data-centre applications, this webinar will examine how these differing risks can inform the development of an appropriate fire protection strategy, considering the roles of early detection, alarm, suppression and system control. It will explore the factors influencing the selection and application of technologies including sprinklers, water mist and gaseous suppression, and consider how different systems can be coordinated as part of the wider fire strategy.
