Government employees in Singapore have been told to cut their use of air conditioning to preserve fuel supplies hit by the Iran-US conflict.
Air conditioning is near ubiquitous in the island state, which relies heavily on the Middle East for its gas and oil supplies.
The Ministry of Sustainability and Environment announced on 8 April that government employees should set the air conditioning to 25°C and closely manage how long units are in use. Workers are also being urged to switch to fans and take public transport to cut the use of fuel.
