The government has said it will replace the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) with a new Clean Heat Grant.

The non-domestic RHI scheme will close to new applicants from April 2021, although the scheme for households has been extended until March 2022.

The Future support for low carbon heat consultation has been launched to consider the new grant that would then take its place.

It proposes offering funding of up to £4,000 for each household or business that invests in renewable heating, including heat pumps.

An eligible list of technologies applicable for funding support will also be published.
