CIBSE has launched its new skills hub at its London head office, following a £1.2m donation from
the Manly Trust.
Officially known as the Manly Trust Skills Hub, the facility includes a conference space, training and meeting rooms, Members’ Zone and a dedicated networking area.
The Manly Trust Skills Hub has already hosted a number of events, including a Heat Pump Summit and Fellows Event.
CIBSE took a significant step towards decarbonising its office as part of the project. By upgrading the AHU and installing a new VRF heat pump and hot-water cylinder it was able to remove a gas boiler.
It also upgraded the BMS and installed 50 CO2 sensors to improve heating and cooling controls, and better assess how the building is performing.
