The BSI has launched a consultation for a new fire safety code of practice.
The standard, PAS 2000, Construction products – bringing safe products to market – code of practice, is due to be published in early 2026.
It will provide guidance on the due diligence manufacturers should carry out before placing construction products on the market
The document will address: pre-market risk assessment; factory production control processes; product information and collection; and use of market feedback.
The consultation closes at midnight on Monday 18 August. Review and comment on the draft here
