The Construction Industry Council (CIC) is launching a call for evidence on how to achieve the government’s ambitions to build 1.5 million homes during the current parliament.
The CIC is seeking to gather insights, strategies and innovative solutions from industry experts, stakeholders and the public.
Areas in which the CIC is particularly interested in receiving evidence include: current barriers to balancing economic viability with high-quality strategies to make housing more affordable for all income levels; how modern construction methods and technologies can accelerate the building process while maintaining quality; and the changes in policy and regulation required to support the rapid construction of quality dwellings.
CIC is inviting submissions from all interested parties, to be sent electronically to enquiries@cic.org.uk by 14 May 2025.
The evidence should include examples of proven strategies and be no more than four pages in length.
