To continue the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the CIBSE Young Engineer Awards (YEAs), CIBSE and Zehnder Group UK are delighted to invite you to take part in the Young Engineer Indoor Environment Quality Design Challenge – an exclusive and first of its kind CPD event.

There is a prize of £2,000 up for grabs for the winning team as well as recognition at the YEAs and their work showcased across CIBSE Journal’s magazine and website channels.

Date: Thursday, 9 October
Time: 12pm to 4:30pm
Location: University of London, Senate House, Malet Street, London, WC1E 7HU

About the Challenge
This exciting challenge will bring together graduate, undergraduate, apprentice engineers, and those in the first 10 years of their career, to compete in small teams to design and model a space using Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ) principles. It will be a great chance to gain insight into the core components of IEQ from industry experts and enhance your CPD.

It will be a competitive, hands-on day, judged by a panel of industry experts. Designs will be assessed on innovation, sustainability and effectiveness.

Highlights of the challenge will be premiered at the evening’s CIBSE Young Engineer Awards ceremony. A feature in CIBSE Journal will also showcase your designs and celebrate the creativity and vision of participants.

The Award
At the YEAs evening ceremony, the prestigious Young Engineer Design Excellence Award will be presented, recognising the exceptional talent and innovation of the challenge participants – and the winners will walk away with a cash prize of £2,000.

This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills, work with peers, and gain exposure across the CIBSE community, while helping shape the future of building services engineering.
