As well as emphasising the importance of the industry’s ability to ‘adapt to change’, a major theme for CIBSE President Stephen Lisk’s year in office is the importance of collaboration between the professionals whose experience should influence the design of buildings.
In such collaboration, Lisk sees the value and relevance of a professional organisation such as CIBSE: constructive debate between like-minded professionals producing comprehensive and practical solutions to building design challenges.
‘Within CIBSE, we are a part of a much bigger picture and – if we want to move fast – we have to collaborate with others,’ said Lisk.
