Abstracts for papers, posters and case studies that explore innovative solutions to the challenges faced by the building services industry are being sought for the 2026 CIBSE Technical Symposium.
The theme, ‘Fit for 2050: Redesigning spaces for wellbeing, inclusivity and sustainable performance’, focuses on creating healthy, inclusive and high-performance building environments that address the needs of occupants and the planet.
Endorsed by ASHRAE, the symposium is taking place at Loughborough University, which has world-leading expertise in architecture, building and civil engineering, as well as state-of-the-art research facilities.
The event will highlight emerging technologies, strategies and frameworks that will drive the next generation of building design and performance. Topics will range from inclusive design – creating spaces that cater for diverse needs, such as neurodiversity and sensory inclusion – to indoor air quality, and address the broader implications of climate resilience, retrofit and technological advances in building services design.
Join us at Loughborough University to be part of this pivotal discussion as we work together to shape the future of building services design for a healthier, more sustainable tomorrow.
Submit a 250-word abstract for your proposed paper, poster or case study by 16 June 2025. For more details, visit CIBSE Technical Symposium papers
