More than 80 individuals have been recognised for their talent and leadership in the shortlist for the CIBSE MENA Awards.
The accolades recognise excellence in building services engineering, highlighting projects and professionals who are setting new standards in sustainability, safety and performance.
Every stage of a career – from graduate to executive – as well as specialisms such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical and sustainability engineer, are covered in the 11 ‘People’ categories.
Meanwhile, two new categories for vertical transportation (VT) have been added to the ‘Company’ awards: VT of the Year – Consultancy; and VT of the Year – Manufacturer and Supplier.
This recognises the importance of this area of engineering in the region and aligns with CIBSE President Dave Cooper’s specialism.
The shortlist for the 11 ‘Project’ categories includes a diverse range of unique and technically advanced schemes, showcasing exceptional sustainability credentials. There are also five innovations and products awards.
