Introduction to data centre engineering design
23 September, Arup, Sydney
Data centres power almost everything we do, but how much do you actually know about what’s behind the racks? Join CIBSE ANZ for an evening exploring the fundamentals of data centre design, from the engineers building and operating them.
Sessions include:
- Data centre design fundamentals. Margaret Rozali, design director at VESCA DC, will provide a practical introduction to why data centres matter and how the buildings and the industry has evolved.
- Engineering for reality – lessons learnt on real projects. Stefan Sadokierski, principal APAC data centres and technology leader at Arup, will look at practical real-worth insights from project design to delivery.
- DC mythbusters. Nick Kough, director product design and Conor Rockwell, design engineer at Green Square DC, will discuss cutting through the noise separating fact from fiction on planning, energy use, water consumption, community impacts and providing an evidence-based picture of data centres in Australia.
This will be followed by a panel Q&A.
