Participants needed for acoustic research

Participants sought in or around Manchester for upcoming listening studies

CIBSE is co-funding research into noise sources that are relevant to our members. This research could influence future noise policy and regulation.

CIBSE members based in or around Manchester are invited to be participants in upcoming listening studies for this research.

The studies will take place at the University of Salford, Manchester, and generally take under an hour, with the next study starting in autumn 2026.

No expertise or experience is needed. If you are interested in taking part, please sign up to be notified when participant recruitment starts at: https://tinyurl.com/community-noise, or contact Katie Salter at k.salter@edu.salford.ac.uk.

The research is being undertaken by Katie Salter, a PhD student at the University of Salford, funded by CIBSE and the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training on Sustainable Sound Futures, and supervised by Prof. Antonio Torija Martinez and Dr. Simone Graetzer.
