The CIBSE Education Guild is seeking responses to a survey aiming to gather insights on building services engineering education.
Established as a forum for those committed to delivering suitable education to meet the needs of the building services engineering profession and broader community, the CIBSE Education Guild aims to explore course designs in building services engineering to facilitate flexibility in transferring and bridging between sub-disciplines.
It hopes to help develop models for effective partnerships with industry, professional bodies and other stakeholders to promote change in engineering education.
As well as seeking views from members, the Guild would also like to hear from other professionals, both academics and practicing building services engineers.
Professor Dejan Mumovic, Chair of the CIBSE Education Guild said: ‘Building on a pioneering CIBSE initiative the Building Performance Reimagined, and the need for more holistic approach to building design, construction, commissioning and operation we need to transform the landscape of building engineering education and challenge the silo approach to the built environment. To inspire people and transform places we need to reflect and challenge the academic silos.’
Responses will help shape the Guild’s activities and priorities for the coming years. Complete the survey.
