Frankham Group’s MEP division has introduced a structured training and development scheme to support engineers working towards professional registration and Chartered status.
The scheme was developed and led by Kat Lechowska, with the backing of MEP director Adam Watkins. Having previously worked within an established CIBSE-approved scheme, Lechowska brought valuable insight into how structured programmes can support engineers effectively.
Early engagement with CIBSE helped shape the framework and ensure alignment with accreditation requirements. A detailed scheme overview was developed, setting out a clear structure based on competency development in line with UK-SPEC.
The scheme received full accreditation from CIBSE in March.
