Buro Happold is working with developer U+I to regenerate a 24-acre, formerly derelict, area of central Manchester. The Mayfield Regeneration is being built around the city’s first new public park in more than a century, covering 6.5-acres on the banks of the River Medlock. The project, on a former railway depot, includes 1,500 homes and 154,800m2 of office space, plus restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.
