This month, as Patrick Bellew announces he is stepping back from running Atelier Ten, we feature one of the company’s latest projects – the retrofit of Space House, an iconic Brutalist office in central London. The concrete frame that gives the building its distinct identity also dictates where the services are installed. That was a challenge as the ceiling heights were extremely low, meaning Atelier Ten had to adopt a particularly innovative chilled beam solution. Also, this month we have the story King’s College Chapel’s photovoltaic panel installation, which shows that, with ingenuity, renewables can be deployed in the most historically sensitive of sites.
